Based on the latest disaster report submitted to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), only four (4) families remained in an evacuation center in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mndanao (ARMM) as the Department continuous to provide assistance to the families affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) in Regions III, IV-A and ARMM.

A total of P1,189,827.16 worth of relief assistance were provided to the affected families in Bataan, Bulacan and Zambales to date. Of this total, DSWD provided a total of P487,069 as augmentation support through the local government units (LGUs).

Secretary Judy M. Taguilo says, “patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan natin sa mga LGUs at ibang organisasyon para sa kapakanan ng mga pamilyang naapektuhan ng Habagat. Mahalaga yung partnership natin sa ibang sangay ng lipunan para magkaroon ng mas malakas na pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga pamilya.”

The Secretary added that the Department remains to be on standby, and has the available funds and resources to augment the needs of the LGUs.

To date, DSWD has a total of P349,477,524.78 in standby funds at the Central Office (CO) and all field offices. Of the total, P290,038,350.00 of the available Quick Response Fund (QRF) is at the CO.  Further, the Department has 487,512 family food packs (FFPs)​, and food and non-food items amounting to P415,884,386.65 available in the different warehouses of DSWD. ###
