Social Welfare and Development Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral greets families who are still in evacuation centers in Los Banos, Laguna during the Christmas gift-giving under of the “Pamaskong Handog Para sa mga Evacuees” project of the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Secretary Cabral distributed gift packs to almost 700 families who were left homeless by typhoon ‘Ondoy.”

Similar gift-giving events were also held in Sta. Cruz and Sta. Rosa in Laguna; Tanay and Binangonan, Rizal; and in Botolan, Zambales. Almost 6,000 family-evacuees have received gift packs under the project.
