Rehabilitation Sheltered Workshop (RSW) - A facility that provides vocational/social rehabilitation
and skills training to persons with disabilities and other special groups for socio-economic independence and
productivity.

Location: NCR - J. P. Burgos St. Project 4, Quezon City

Services Provided:

  • Social Services:
    • Intake and supportive casework
    • Counseling of clients individually or in groups
    • Contact with the families and relatives
  • Medical and Dental Service:
    • Diagnosis of the extent of the trainee's disability, as well as his/her physical capacities and limitations
  • Psychological Services:
    • Assistance in the formulation of the trainees vocational goal through evaluation of their mental ability, aptitude and skills, and by determining their work experiences and vocational and occupational preferences
  • Vocational Skills Training:
    • Scientific Massage
    • Handicraft
    • Tailoring/dressmaking
    • Watch repair
    • Computer repair
    • Canteen management
    • Daily living skills
  • Job Placement:
    • Provision of assistance to clients in finding jobs suited to their skills, interest and qualification. These include open employment, self employment or sheltered employment
  • Recreational and other Cultural Activities:
    • Indoor and outdoor activities
  • Community Participation:
    • Participation in selected community activities and using available community resources and services like schools, health centers, hospitals, markets, churches and facilities or offices for employment

 

National Vocational Rehabilitation Center (NVRC) - A non- residential facility that implements programs and provides services to persons with disabilities and other special groups particularly on vocational/ social rehabilitation and skills training for socio-economic independence and productivity.
