The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is holding a weeklong celebration from June 7 to 11, 2021 to commemorate the second anniversary of the institutionalization of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

With the theme, “SaMa Sama tungo Sa Matatag at Sa Matagumpay ng Pamilyang Pilipino,” the anniversary celebration focuses on how the 4Ps has made significant impacts to improve the lives and empower its beneficiaries.

To start the event, a ceremonial opening of exhibit booths and gallery walk featuring the testimonials of beneficiaries and the 4Ps’ accomplishments was held at the DSWD Central Office New Lobby on June 7.

Meanwhile, an online forum entitled, “Diskursong 4Ps (Paglalahad, Paglalarawan, Pagsasalaysay, Pagbibigay Liwanag sa Usaping Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program),” will be held on June 9 to present a situational outlook on the socio-economic strategies and opportunities for the 4Ps.

To recognize graduating 4Ps household-beneficiaries around the country, the Program will hold the “Pagkilala sa mga benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilya na matagumpay na nakatawid sa kahirapan tungo sa kaunlaran”  on June 10. The online awarding ceremony will be attended by local government units (LGUs), national government agencies (NGAs), and civil society organizations (CSOs) who became partners of the DSWD in providing livelihood and educational opportunities to the 4Ps beneficiaries.

Lastly, a culminating activity will be held on June 11 to recognize notable 4Ps employees, development partners, and parent leaders who provided significant contributions towards the successful implementation of the Program. It will be immediately followed by the launching of the 5th Edition of the 4Ps Operations Manual which highlights enhancements in the 4Ps’ mechanisms.

The Department hopes to sustain the gains of 4Ps as the national poverty reduction strategy and human capital investment program of the Philippine government through its continuing collaboration with partners and improvement of its systems and processes. ###
