600,000 na ang mga Benepisyaryo ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) – Walang Gutom Program (WGP)

Inanunsyo ni DSWD Undersecretary for Innovations and Program Development and concurrent National Program Director of the Walang Gutom Program – National Program Management Office Eduardo M. Punay na umabot na sa 600,000 ang mga benepisyaryo ng Walang Gutom Program (WGP) sa ginanap na WGP Redemption Activity kasabay ng Ceremonial MOA Signing ng Tara! Basa Tutoring Program noong 12 Pebrero 2026 sa Romblon State University.

Ang pag-akyat sa 600,000 household beneficiaries ay bahagi ng pagtupad sa pangako ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa kanyang State of the Nation Address noong Hulyo 28, 2025, kung saan inihayag ang pagpapalawak ng programa upang mas marami pang pamilyang Pilipino ang makinabang sa tulong pagkain ng pamahalaan.

Sa harap ng mga benepisyaryo at katuwang ng programa, binigyang-diin ni Usec. Punay na ang milestone na ito ay patunay ng patuloy na pagsisikap ng pamahalaan na labanan ang kagutuman at tiyaking may pagkain sa hapag ng bawat pamilyang kabilang sa programa.

“Ngayong 600,000 na tayo, natupad na natin ang pangako ng ating Pangulo. Ito ang tulong na ibinibigay natin sa ating mga beneficiaries. Ang layunin ng Walang Gutom ay matiyak na may maihahain kayong pagkain araw-araw,” pahayag ni Usec. Punay.

Kasabay ng programa, nasaksihan ang aktuwal na paggamit ng Electronic Benefit Transfer cards na naglalaman ng Php3,000 food credits sa pagbili ng masusustansyang pagkain tulad ng gulay, protina, at bigas mula sa mga accredited partner retailers. Para sa maraming benepisyaryo, ang simpleng pag-tap ng card ay sumisimbolo ng katiyakan na may maihahain sila sa mesa at may suporta silang maaasahan mula sa pamahalaan.

Patuloy ding pinalalawak ang saklaw ng Walang Gutom Program sa pagdaragdag ng Negros Island Region at MIMAROPA. Inaasahang madaragdagan pa ito ng 150,000 benepisyaryo ngayong taon upang maabot ang 750,000 household beneficiaries pagsapit ng 2026.

Sa patuloy na pagpapatibay at pagpapalawak ng Walang Gutom Program, layunin ng DSWD na higit pang mapalakas ang seguridad sa pagkain at masuportahan ang pangmatagalang pag-angat ng bawat sambahayang Pilipino tungo sa mas matatag at mas maunlad na kinabukasan.

The DSWD is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. The DSWD only has access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via the modules of this website or other direct contact from you. All of the provisions in the Data Privacy Act will be observed specifically on the management of personally identifiable information.

Information collected may be used as a basis for client response regarding services or intervention that may be provided by the DSWD. Information will not be shared with any third party outside of the Government, other than as necessary to fulfill the requested services of a client. The DSWD, however, reserves the right to request the applicants to submit the hardcopy of documentary requirements in order to verify the authenticity of the information.

Unless otherwise provided, the DSWD or any of its authorized personnel may contact the client via email or SMS in the future for the purpose of status updates with regard to the transaction/service request, changes to this privacy policy, or other information reasonably necessary to effect the social service mandate of the DSWD.

The DSWD takes precautions to protect information. Upon submission of sensitive information via the website, information is protected both online and offline. Wherever the Department collects sensitive information (such as passport and Birth Certificates), that information is encrypted and transmitted to the DSWD in a secure manner. This may be verified by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, certificate printing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers, where personally identifiable information is stored, are kept in a secure environment.
