The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) General Administration and Support Services Group (GASSG) continues to earn the nod of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for meeting the global standards in general administration.

GASSG successfully completed the annual surveillance audit conducted by third-party certification body, SOCOTECH Certification Philippines, Inc., on November 10, 2020 in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Services that have been ISO-certified under GASSG include the Administrative Service, Human Resource Management and Development Service, Procurement Management Service, Legal Service, and Finance and Management Service.

GASSG provides leadership, staff expertise, and strategic support in managing physical infrastructures, assets, financial resources, human resources, procurement activities, and other logistical requirements in a manner that is transparent, accountable, proactive, results-oriented, and value-adding to the stewardship of DSWD resources.

Apart from GASSG, DSWD Field Office Caraga has also completed its annual surveillance audit conducted in January. Meanwhile, DSWD Field Office I and the DSWD National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau will also be undergoing their annual surveillance audits before the end of the year.

Other clusters under the DSWD Central Office and all Field Offices are also gearing up towards being ISO-certified.

As the lead agency in social protection, DSWD emphasized that it continues to pursue excellence in service delivery by implementing a quality management system that is aligned with the latest international standards.

The Department explained that its pursuit for ISO certification is an affirmation that it continues to improve its systems and processes to deliver a maagap at mapagkalingang serbisyo for the sectors that it serves. ###
