DSWD exec talks on rehab for vulnerable sectors, intervention for youth offenders in Media Forum

A director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) talks on DSWD-managed Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCF) and its interventions for abandoned children, elderly, persons with disabilities, women in crisis, and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) during the weekly DSWD Media Forum on Thursday (May 28).

Center Development Office (CDO) Director Kaye Sacapaño reported on the operations of 77 CRCFs nationwide consisting of residential care services and center-based facilities.

The CDO director highlighted the ongoing rehabilitation efforts at specialized facilities like the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) to directly address recent reports concerning minors committing heinous crimes.

Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) Raymond Burgos and Digital Media Service (DMS) Director Dianne Joie Ruiz hosted the weekly media forum at DSWD’s Central Office New Press Center. (KI)
