Due to the extent of damage in the province, DSWD FO V will be providing additional 1,200 FFPs and 100 rolls of laminated sacks which are currently in transit.

Likewise, some 3,000 FFPs, 1,000 hygiene kits, 2,000 kitchen kits, 450 sleeping kits, 450 mosquito nets, 3,944 350-ml mineral water and 400 20-liter bottled water were also transported yesterday to Catanduanes via Coast Guard vessel. The relief supplies are expected to arrive anytime today.

The Department continues to coordinate with the Logistics Cluster of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to ensure the quick delivery of assistance to affected localities.

Aside from relief aid, the Department is also set to implement recovery interventions to assist the families affected by the typhoon.

Among the programs that will be implemented is the Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) program to assist in the shelter reconstruction of typhoon victims in Bicol and CALABARZON.  In the Bicol Region alone, there are 26,800 partially damaged houses and 10,740 totally-damaged houses.
