DSWD, Stairway Foundation forge partnership to combat child sexual abuse, exploitation

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) formally signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Stairway Foundation Inc. (SFI) on Tuesday (May 26) at the DSWD Academy in Taguig City to strengthen efforts against child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The partnership also marked the launch of the Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Prevention (CSAEP) E-Learning Course for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) implementers, that will equip frontliners with the knowledge and skills to safeguard children and uphold their rights in communities.

The CSAEP E-Learning Course is to be hosted by the DSWD Academy’s Learning Management System (LMS).

Leading the ceremonial signing are Undersecretary Denise Florence Bernos-Bragas of the DSWD’s Regulatory Services and Institutional Development Group (RSIDG) and SFI Executive Director Lars Jorgensen, with Asst. Secretary Janet Armas and SFI Child Protection Specialist Ysrael Diloy serving as witnesses.

Also present during the event are DSWD Academy Director Justin Caesar Anthony Batocabe, 4Ps National Program Management Office (NPMO) – Program Safeguards and Social Inclusion Division Project Development Officer Ronald Castro, and 4Ps City and Municipal Links from the National Capital Region (NCR), Region 4-A (CALABARZON), and Region 4-B (MIMAROPA).
