The Department emphasized that it will not ask for such information pursuant to Data Privacy Act of 2012 and will take appropriate action and investigation regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, the DSWD said that, at present, its financial assistance including the provision of food and non-food items, is extended through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations through the Department’s Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU) located at the Central Office and in all DSWD Field Offices nationwide. CIU clients undergo assessment to avail of the needed assistance.
