DSWD strengthens peace-building efforts in Davao conflict-affected communities through PAMANA program The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to strengthen its peace-building and community development efforts in conflict-affected areas in Mindanao by providing livelihood assistance under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) program. Nine PAMANA Livelihood Associations (PLPAs) from Davao City and Boston, Davao Oriental, received a total of Php2.7 million in seed capital grants last June 4, with each association getting Php300,000 to support their community-based livelihood initiatives. The beneficiary associations include the Kauban sa Kalinaw ug Kalambuan from Boston, Davao Oriental; and Muslim Community Development, Davao United Bangsamoro, Davao City Bangsamoro, Sirawan Kagan, Bangsamoro Community Development, Davao Muslim Kagan, Sirawan Bangsamoro Women’s, and Sirawan Women’s Boracay
