PBBM, DSWD chief observe Tara, Basa! tutorial sessions in Navotas City

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian accompanied President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. in observing the ongoing Tara Basa Tutoring Program tutorial sessions at the Kapitbahayan Elementary School in Navotas City on Tuesday (June 2).

The President, together with the DSWD chief and Department of Education Secretary Edgardo Angara, Jr., also led the National Capital Region (NCR) Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-off at the Kapitbahayan Elementary School.

Held nationwide from June 1 to 5, this year’s Brigada Eskwela carries the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.” The theme emphasizes unity between the government and the Filipino people in ensuring a high-quality and conducive learning environment for the nation’s future leaders.

Among those who showed their support to the tutorial lessons and the Brigada Eskwela kick-off were Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Francis Tolentino, Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco, DSWD Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe, DSWD Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao and other officials from the Navotas City local government. (KB)
