The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said that the result of the survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS) showing that 72% of Filipinos say that they received money-help from the government is an affirmation that the Department was able to deliver the much needed aid for Filipinos amid the pandemic.

The survey result further showed DSWD as the most mentioned source of help with 41 and 28 percent ratings for DSWD in general, and for DSWD’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP), respectively.

DSWD said that despite the challenges in delivering services to the poor and vulnerable during these difficult times, the survey result manifests that the public have received the help that they need from the Department to cope with the ongoing health crisis.

The Department added that the survey result also validates the objective of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) which is to help the low-income families meet their basic needs amid the pandemic.

DSWD emphasized that this significant development serves as a motivation for the personnel of the Department to work doubly hard to ensure that more families in need will be reached and served.  ###
