The women beneficiaries of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program in Almeria, Biliran underwent plumbing and masonry training courtesy of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

In a statement on Friday, Jan. 27, DSWD said that the skills training program targeted to remove the prejudice toward women and increase their involvement in construction work since it is one of Kalahi-CIDSS’ sub-projects for the community.
