After having been assessed and validated to be eligible, 50 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) who were hired on the spot during the January 31 Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas job fair in Pasay City have already received their employment assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office National Capital Region (NCR).

Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, who is also the agency spokesperson, said on Wednesday (February 26) the 50 beneficiaries, out of 76, who were hired on the spot were assessed and validated by the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) to be eligible for the Employment Facilitation (EF) Track.

The SLP’s EF Track helps participants to access appropriate employment opportunities.

Each beneficiary received Php5,000 cash assistance for the processing of their employment requirements, such as National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance and medical or physical examination.

“They can also use the cash aid as food and transportation allowance for the first fifteen days of their work,” the spokesperson said.

Thelma Colobong, who was hired on the spot as a finishing trimmer at Eagle Technology Company, is one of the beneficiaries of the employment assistance from the SLP.

“Napakahalaga po ng aking natanggap para sa aking mga requirements dahil wala po akong kakayahang gumastos para dito,” Thelma said as she thanked the DSWD for the additional assistance.

Thelma added: “Napakaganda po ng kanilang programa para makatulong sa mahihirap at mga lubos na nangangailangan.”

4Ps beneficiaries who were hired on the spot during the job fairs in other areas such as the cities of Iloilo, Tagum, and Dumaguete are awaiting the results of their assessment by the concerned DSWD Field Offices.

The SLP is a capacity-building program of the DSWD that aims to help the vulnerable, disadvantaged, and marginalized households and communities to improve their socio-economic conditions by providing them with opportunities to access and acquire livelihood assets. # (YADP)

Ayon kay DSWD Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, limampu sa pitumpu’t anim na mga benepisyaryo na pawang hired on the spot ang na-assess at na-verify na ng Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP). Ang mga ito ay pawang eligible para sa Employment Facilitation (EF) Track.

Ang SLP EF Track ay makatutulong sa mga participants upang makakuha ng karapat dapat na trabaho at oportunidad.

Tumanggap ng Php5,000 cash assistance ang bawat isa para sa pagproseso ng kanilang employment requirements tulad ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance at medical o physical examination.

Kabilang si Thelma Colobong, sa mga hired on the spot, nakapasa sya sa interview sa inaplayan nitong trabaho sa Eagle Technology Company, bilang isang finishing trimmer. Isa din sya sa nakatanggap ng employment assistance sa SLP.

“Napakahalaga po ng aking natanggap para sa aking mga requirements dahil wala po akong kakayahang gumastos para dito,” sabi ni Thelma kasabay ng pasasalamat nito sa ibinigay na dagdag na tulong ng ahensya.

Dagdag pa niya, “Napakaganda po ng kanilang programa para makatulong sa mahihirap at mga lubos na nangangailangan.”

Samantala, ang iba pang 4Ps beneficiaries na hired on the spot sa iba pang lugar na pinagganapan ng job fair sa Iloilo, Tagum, at Dumaguete ay naghihintay naman ng resulta pa ng isinagawang assessment sa kanila ng mga concerned DSWD Field Offices. #
