Fifty beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps ) who are pregnant and mothers with 0-2- year-old kids receive on Friday (February 21) their two-months cash grants during the ceremonial payout for the First 1,000 Days of Life (F1KD) as part of
the launching activity for this new initiative of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Undersecretary Vilma Cabrera of the DSWD’s Conditional Cash Transfer and Beneficiary Targeting Group (CCTBTG) led the F1KD launch, which is one of the highlights of the week-long celebration for the agency’s 74th anniversary.
The F1KD grant is an additional health and nutrition support for 4Ps households with pregnant women and children aged 0-2 years. This new initiative seeks to strengthen the government’s campaign against stunting and malnutrition.
The Department of Health (DOH) was among the DSWD’s partners present at the event, which was held at the Central Office in Quezon City, and provided essential health services to the participating beneficiaries, including prenatal and postnatal checkups and vaccination.
