DSWD-Calabarzon distributes relief aid to Cainta evacuees

Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office – CALABARZON distribute on Tuesday (September 3) family food packs (FFPs) to 198 families or 857 individuals staying in the evacuation center at the Kabisig Elementary School in Barangay San Andres in Cainta, Rizal province. The distribution of FFPs coincided with the visit of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian where he checked on the condition of the evacuees. Earlier, the DSWD chief also visited an evacuation center in Antipolo City where he oversaw the distribution of relief and financial aid to the evacuees. #

DSWD extends Php16.3M in aid to ‘Enteng’ -affected areas

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has so far distributed more than Php16 million worth of augmentation support to local government units (LGUs) to help them meet the needs of their constituents who were affected by Tropical Storm Enteng. “Our disaster response operations are still on-going, but we have already sent as of September 3, over Php16 million-worth of assistance as part of our resource augmentation to the affected localities,” Asst. DSWD Chief visits disaster response office in San Pedro, Laguna

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian meets with officials of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) in San Pedro, Laguna on Tuesday (Sep. 3) where he received updates on the on-going disaster response operations in the province. DSWD releases 130K food packs to Enteng-hit families in Luzon

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian said on Tuesday (September 3) the agency has so far released 130,000 family food packs (FFPs) to families and individuals affected by heavy rains and floods due to Tropical Storm Enteng compounded by the southwest monsoon or habagat. DSWD Bicol FO continues relief operation for displaced families in Naga City

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 5 – Bicol Region continues on Tuesday (Sep. 3) its relief operations for displaced families in Naga City, Camarines Sur. A total of 100 displaced families in Barangays Del Rosario, Dinaga, and Concepcion Grande received boxes of FFPs and 6 liters of bottled water. The FO-5 also provided hot meals to the eight remaining families stranded at the Pasacao Port in Camarines Sur.

DSWD chief oversees distribution of aid to Enteng-hit families in Rizal, Laguna

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will be holding a Humanitarian and Development Summit that aims to foster inclusiveness and coordination between the government and private sector on disaster response, risk reduction, and responsive social protection.
