DSWD Field Office-7 to provide aid to trafficking victims rescued from Cebu POGOs

Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office-7 (Central Visayas) joined a police operation on Saturday (August 31) aimed at rescuing local and foreign trafficking victims from an illegal Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hub located at the Tourist Garden Hotel in Barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province. DSWD chief leads follow-up meeting on regional disaster response for ‘Enteng’

DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian holds a follow-up virtual meeting with Field Office (FOs) regional directors (RDs) to discuss disaster response updates, needs, and gaps on the effects of Tropical Storm EntengPH through its Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) on Monday (September 2). During the meeting, Secretary Gatchalian provided further guidance to all RDs and their representatives in relation to EntengPH. DSWD deploys Field Office-5’s mobile command center to Cam Sur

DSWD hands over 5k boxes of relief supplies to Taguig LGU

Disaster response and management personnel of the local government unit (LGU) of Pasig City have started their pick-up of the 5,000 boxes of family food packs (FFPs) on Monday (September 2) from the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City. The FFPs were requested by the LGU from the DSWD’s Disaster Response and Management Group (DRMG) amid the onslaught of Typhoon Enteng.#

DSWD Field Office-5 leads relief distribution in Camalig, Albay

Personnel from the DSWD Field Office-5 are facilitating the distribution of Family Food Packs (FFPs) to families affected by Tropical Storm Enteng in Camalig, Albay Province, today, September 2, 2024. A total of 66 FFPs are being distributed to internally displaced families across 8 barangays in the municipality, which have been severely impacted by heavy rains and flooding from the storm. DSWD FO-5 continues to coordinate with local governments to provide immediate assistance to those in need and to the affected families.#
