DSWD endorses new action framework for children in global conference

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) endorses a Child Protection Systems Strengthening (CPSS) framework in the First Global Ministerial Conference (GMC) on Ending Violence Against Children (VAC) on November 7 to 8 in Bogota, Colombia. DSWD taps Pampanga hub to produce 10K food packs daily for ‘Marce’ ops

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office 2-Cagayan Valley has initially provided 250 family food packs (FFPs) and 250 non-food items (NFIs) to residents of the coastal town of Maconacon in Isabela province who were evacuated as Typhoon Marce trails Northern Luzon. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Wednesday (November 6) joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the Camarines Sur leg of the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolks, and Families (PAFFF) held at the Fuerte Sports Complex in Pili, Camarines Sur.
