




Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian and International Organization for Migration (IOM) Chief of Mission for the Philippines Tristan Ashely Burnett sign on Monday (March 14) a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for enhanced disaster preparedness and response.
The signing of the MOU, held at the DSWD’s National Resources Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City, is an affirmation of the Department’s years of partnership with the IOM on disaster preparedness and response initiatives, especially on camp coordination and camp management (CCCM), protection of internally displaced persons (IDP), and capacity building.
Also present in the activity were IOM Head of Program Euan Mcdougall, Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao of the DSWD-Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG), and Director Maria Isabel Lanada of the DSWD-Disaster Response Management Bureau (DRMB).
