Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spokesperson Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao discusses the agency’s programs and services particularly the new guidelines of the Ayuda Para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) and the free mobile phones for Level 1 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) during the Thursday Media Forum on March 20.

Asst. Secretary Dumlao provided updates on the revised AKAP guidelines, jointly prepared by the DSWD, National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Director Clarissa Lara Duran of the DSWD’s Public Relations Service (PRS) presented the agency’s anti-misinformation and disinformation campaign aptly called ‘Tamang Tulong sa Tamang Impormasyon’.

The Thursday Media Forum, which is held weekly at the DSWD Central Office’s New Press Center in Quezon City, is hosted by Special Assistant to the Secretary (SAS) for Communications Raymond Robert Burgos and Director Dianne Joie Ruiz of the Digital Media Service (DMS).
