Senior officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) discuss the agency’s new projects, the Kaagapay Donations Portal and the Panahon ng Pagkilos, at the Thursday Media Forum on April 3 at the DSWD Central Office’s New Press Center in Quezon City.

Assistant Secretary Maria Paz Rafael of the Partnerships Building and Resource Mobilization Office (PBRMO) provided updates on the agency’s digital platform that allows individuals or organizations to send donations to social welfare and development agencies (SWADAs), DSWD-managed centers and residential care facilities, as well as to the Department’s relief efforts.

Director Bernadette Mapue-Joaquin of the Kapit-Bisig Laban Sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) National Program Management Office (KALAHI-CIDSS NPMO) tackled the newly approved ‘Panahon ng Pagkilos’ project which champions the community driven development (CDD) approach to help communities build disaster resilient infrastructures and development mechanisms.
