


The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) met with representatives of the Aged Care Research Industry and Innovation Australia (ARIIA) last April 16 to explore innovative collaboration in the area of elderly care and workforce development.
The ARIIA team, headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Reuben Jacob, shared their person-centered, technology-driven programs aimed at reshaping aged care in Australia and beyond.
DSWD Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Santos and Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Division Chief Loida Villanueva of the agency’s Policy Development and Planning Bureau (PDPB) joined the meeting and presented the ongoing programs and initiatives for senior citizens and persons with disabilities across the country.
The ARIIA is an Australian-based organization committed to fostering global collaboration to equip the aged care sector with knowledge and skills to implement evidence-based practices and new technologies. (LSJ)
