The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) relief operations for communities reeling from the combined effects of the successive weather systems get the needed boost as private sector partners are stepping in to bolster the agency’s logistical capacities and continuous dispatch of goods.
A delivery truck from J&T Express arrived at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC), the DSWD’s main production hub in Pasay City, on Friday (July 25) to help transport 1,700 family food packs (FFPs) to San Fernando City in La Union.
Lalamove Philippines and the Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) also deployed their respective delivery trucks on Thursday (July 24) to support the DSWD’s relief efforts.
The DSWD extended its appreciation to these companies for their voluntary support in ensuring that the precious aid reaches Filipinos swiftly. (LSJ)
