In line with its Peace and Development Buong Bansa Mapayapa (PDBBM) program, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) conducted a series of profiling among 1,997 former members of non-state armed groups (FMNSAG) and decommissioned combatants (DCs) from Bukidnon, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte.
The PDBMM program is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s commitment to achieve peace as an integral component in nation building.
Conducted through DSWD Field Office 10 – Northern Mindanao, the profiling was held from April 5 to June 5, 2025.
Profiling is a crucial step in assessing the status, progress and needs of the FMNSAG and DCs, as well as in helping determine the appropriate interventions necessary for them to lead peaceful lives as productive members of the community.
The DSWD is strengthening the social case management service program, hiring case managers who are able to handle up to 100 cases of FMNSAGs and DCs. The case manager will be responsible for providing services appropriate to their clients. (GDVF)
