Volunteers help DSWD ensure a continuous supply of food packs

Some 62 students volunteered on Wednesday (June 11) at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to help in the repacking of family food packs (FFPs) intended for disaster-affected families. The volunteers were composed of 54 students from the Far Eastern University (FEU) and eight from the Members Church of God International (MCGI) who worked tirelessly at DSWD’s NROC warehouses in Pasay City. DSWD regularly checks socioeconomic progress of 4Ps beneficiaries

As part of the social case management designed for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continuously monitors the socioeconomic status of 4Ps members. DSWD continues to provide timely aid to rain-soaked residents in Central Luzon, Mindanao due to “Habagat”

DSWD reaffirms commitment to end child labor

In line with the observance of the World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) on June 12, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to end child labor in the Philippines. “We stand united with the whole government, under the leadership of President Ferdinand R. Almost 2k ex-non-state armed groups, former combatants undergo DSWD assessment
