E-buses provide safety, comfort for persons with disabilities – DSWD chief

Over 2.9M indigent seniors receive 1st, 2nd quarter pension from DSWD

A total of 2,955,456 indigent senior citizens across the country have received their social pension from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC) Program for the first and second quarters of 2025, an agency official said on Monday (June16). Student-volunteers unload ready-to-eat food packs in DSWD warehouse

Student-volunteers on Monday (June 16) help in the unloading of 2,000 Ready-to-Eat Food (RTEF) packs at the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City. The volunteers included students from Far Eastern University (FEU), University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, and Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC). They were joined by personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippines Air Force (PAF). The RTEF packs, which contain pre-cooked meals, will complement the agency’s relief items for disaster-stricken families and individuals, as well as passengers stranded in ports.(LSJ).
