Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Asst. Secretary Elaine Fallarcuna of the agency’s Legislative Affairs Group (LAG) expressed the Philippine government’s support and commitment to persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups during the 18th Session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (COSP18-CRPD). DSWD’s ‘Tara, Basa!’ expands to Kidapawan City with 600 new learners, 120 college tutors

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program has expanded to Kidapawan City in Cotabato province that will benefit 600 elementary learners and engage 120 new tutors and 60 Youth Development Workers (YDW) from public colleges and universities. Volunteers help DSWD ensure a continuous supply of food packs

Some 62 students volunteered on Wednesday (June 11) at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to help in the repacking of family food packs (FFPs) intended for disaster-affected families. The volunteers were composed of 54 students from the Far Eastern University (FEU) and eight from the Members Church of God International (MCGI) who worked tirelessly at DSWD’s NROC warehouses in Pasay City. DSWD regularly checks socioeconomic progress of 4Ps beneficiaries

As part of the social case management designed for Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continuously monitors the socioeconomic status of 4Ps members.
