DSWD joins First Lady in aid distribution to families of ‘Kristine’ casualties in Batangas

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) joined First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta Marcos as she distributed aid on Sunday (November 10) to families whose loved ones perished from the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine in Talisay, Batangas. DSWD pledges to adopt whole-of-nation approach to end violence against children in global forum

DSWD deploys mobile command centers to areas battered by ‘Marce’

Following the onslaught of Typhoon ‘Marce’, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) deployed its Field Offices’ (FOs) Mobile Command Centers (MCC) in Regions 1 (Ilocos Region), 2 (Cagayan Valley), and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to boost the agency’s post-disaster operations, particularly in severely-affected communities. “Our Field Offices in the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and CAR have deployed their command centers particularly in areas that sustained most of the damage of Typhoon Marce,”  Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG) Asst.
