Deinstitutionalization of children in care facilities, a top priority- DSWD chief

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian said on Saturday (April 5) the agency is prioritizing the deinstitutionalization of abandoned, neglected, and orphaned children from child caring facilities so that they will find their forever loving homes. “The goal is to deinstitutionalize children from our facilities. DSWD hires 3rd party evaluator to assess effectiveness of 4Ps, other gov’t anti-poverty programs

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian updates reporters on the programs and services of the agency during the Saturday News Forum on April 5 at the Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City. The DSWD chief tackled the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Harmonized Electronic License Permit System (HELPS), Minors Traveling Abroad (MTA) system, and the Kaagapay Donations Portal.
