DSWD to host 13th ASEAN Social Work Consortium Conference

The Philippines, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), will be hosting the 13th ASEAN Social Work Consortium (ASWC) Conference on April 29 to 30 via online video conference. With the theme, “Promoting Competency-development and Standardization Towards Strengthening Social Work in ASEAN,” the conference aims to reinforce regional cooperation to enhance social work practice and education across the ASEAN region. DSWD ready to respond to Mt. Bulusan restiveness with 180K food packs in place

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assured Bicolanos that the agency is ready to respond if the restiveness of Mt. Bulusan continues and intensifies with over 180,000 family food packs (FFPs) already prepositioned at the DSWD Field Office 5-Bicol Region. As the celebration of the National Solo Parents Week culminated on Saturday (April 26), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting solo parents across the country by highlighting the benefits available to them under Republic Act 11861 or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act. Bulacan job fair for 4Ps members logs over 200 hired-on-the-spot

Some 1,800 members of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) participated in the ‘Trabaho sa Bagong Pilipinas’ job fair held at the Bulacan State University in Malolos City on Saturday (April 26). Lubuagan is a 4th class municipality in Kalinga province composed of nine barangays and boasts of a rich Cordillera culture and scenic environment. Despite its lush environment, the landscape of Lubuagan makes it a disaster risk area.
