DSWD, Manila Water Foundation explore innovative ways to generate potable water

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Manila Water Foundation, Inc. have joined hands to explore the use of Air-to-Water Technology (AWT) in generating potable water for communities in need under the agency’s Kapit-Bisig-Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS). “It’s a sustainable solution. Air-to-water technology can operate even in off-grid locations using solar, hybrid, or traditional power sources. Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Convergence Team holds 1st regular meeting

Member-agencies of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) National Convergence Team, chaired by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), held their first regular meeting on Monday (April 14) at the Heritage Hotel Manila. Assistant Secretary Baldr Bringas of the DSWD’s Innovations and Program Development Group (IPDG) and concurrent OIC for the EPAHP National Program Management Office presided the meeting. DSWD’s REFUEL Project in support of WGP scale up gets nod of NEDA-ICC CabCom

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Reducing Food Insecurity and Undernutrition with Electronic Vouchers (REFUEL) Project that will scale up the Walang Gutom Program (WGP) for 2025-2028 has been green-lighted by the National Economic and Development Authority – Investment Coordination Committee Cabinet Committee (NEDA ICC-CabCom). The REFUEL Project that supports the WGP is under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and to be co-financed by the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ Fund for International Development (OPEC-FID). In preparation for the 20-day tutorial and parenting sessions under the Tara, Basa!
