DSWD’s humanitarian aid for Mt. Kanlaon evacuees reaches Php130M

Over Php132 million worth of humanitarian aid have been extended by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to families and individuals affected by the continuing restiveness of Mt. Kanlaon, an agency official reported on Thursday (April 10). “Nagkakahalaga na po ‘yan ng mahigit Php132 million pesos at ‘yan po ay binubuo ng mga family food packs (FFPs), non-food items (NFIs) and ‘yung ating financial assistance,” Asst. DSWD’s ManCom greenlights amendments to guidelines of AICS, other key agency programs

In an effort to make its programs and services more responsive to the evolving needs of its clients, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) management committee (MANCOM) conditionally approved the proposed amendments to the guidelines of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and other agency programs and services during the committee’s 7th regular meeting on Tuesday (April 8) at the agency’s Central Office in Quezon City. Report public solicitations sans permits – DSWD exec

Organizations conducting public solicitations should have corresponding permits from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) which are processed and issued through the agency’s Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS) to ensure legitimacy of the activities, a senior official said on Tuesday (April 8).
