DSWD goes on air with pilot episode of ‘Serbisyong DSWD for Every Juan’ over DYPM Radyo 630

In a bid to intensify its campaign for ‘Tamang Tulong sa Tamang Impormasyon’ (3Ti), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its Strategic Communications group launched on March 29 (Saturday) its new radio program, ‘Serbisyong DSWD for Every Juan,’ in partnership with DYPM Radyo 630. The new program is anchored by veteran anchor Alvin Elchico together with Information Officer Bianca Piedad-Tamondong of the DSWD’s Traditional Media Service (TMS). DSWD continues to intensify ‘Walang Gutom’ Program amid rising hunger incidence in latest SWS survey

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has reaffirmed its commitment to combating hunger through the Walang Gutom Program (WGP), formerly the agency’s Food Stamp Program, following the results of the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey which showed an increase in hunger incidence among Filipino families. “We recognize the growing challenge of food insecurity, and the latest survey reinforces the urgency of enhancing and further expanding the government’s WGP,” Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, who is also the DSWD’s spokesperson, said on Sunday (March 30). DSWD joins int’l partners in multi-donor support mission in Bicol

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) joined international partners in a multi-donor support mission in areas hardest hit by the series of typhoons in the Bicol Region last 2024. DSWD exec tackles features of Kaagapay donations portal

Assistant Secretary Marie Paz Rafael of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Partnerships Building and Resource Mobilization Office (PBRMO) tackles the key features of the agency’s newly-launched Kaagapay Donations Portal during the Saturday News Forum on March 29 at the Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City. The online platform is designed to provide donors with a simpler and more convenient way to extend their donations to DSWD-led disaster response operations and to the agency’s centers and residential care facilities (CRCFs), as well as to social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs) and local government units (LGUs). DSWD chief convenes 1st NACC Council Meeting

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian convened the council members of the National Authority for Child Care (NACC) to discuss issues on adoption and alternative child care programs on Friday (March 28) at the DSWD Central Office, Quezon City. Joining Secretary Gatchalian in the council meeting were Undersecretary Emmeline Aglipay Villar and Asst. Secretary Elaine Fallarcuna of the International Affairs, and Attached and Supervised Agencies. Also present were NACC Undersecretary Janella Estrada, and Council Members Atty. DSWD streamlines issuance of tax-exemption certificate for foreign donations

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) certifies eligibility for for duty exempt importation (DEI) to non-government organizations (NGOs) as part of the agency’s regulatory services to individuals and groups engaged in social welfare service delivery across the country, a DSWD official said on Friday (March 28).
