DSWD supports National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has expressed its support for the recently-signed National Action Plan for Unity, Peace, and Development (NAP-UPD) for 2025 – 2028 which will strengthen the government’s thrust in achieving inclusive and sustainable peace, an agency senior official said. “The Department is fully committed to the goals of the NAP-UPD 2025–2028. DSWD aids families of 3 miners who died in Benguet landslide

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office-Cordillera Administrative Region (FO-CAR) has swiftly provided assistance to the bereaved families of the three miners who died from a landslide in Itogon, Benguet on June 23. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is set to open a new satellite office in Commonwealth, Quezon City that will boost the comfort of clients availing the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP). Conflict-affected communities in N.Cotabato now have safe zones for kids with DSWD’s child dev’t centers

In a significant step toward promoting peace in conflict-affected communities, 21 newly constructed child development centers (CDCs) were officially turned over on Thursday (June 19) to communities in Makilala town in North Cotabato. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reiterated that the Ayuda sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) targets individuals whose income are below the minimum wage and are reeling from the effects of inflation.
