DSWD, NCDA, COMELEC sign MOA for easy access to voting of seniors, persons with disabilities

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday (March 10) officially formalized its partnership with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA) during a ceremonial signing of a tripartite agreement at the Chairman\’s Hall, Palacio Del Gobernador in Intramuros, Manila. Revitalized DSWD Academy to provide specialized training for registered social workers, paraprofessionals

Classes at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Academy are about to kick-off and the agency is enjoining all social workers and paraprofessionals across the country to avail of the various training opportunities offered by the learning center. DSWD provides over Php14M to families affected by shear line

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided humanitarian assistance worth more than Php14 million for the needs of families affected by a shear line that brought isolated thunderstorms and flooding in several regions across the country last February. “The DSWD provided a total of Php14,578,175.65 worth of assistance to the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, and Caraga to ensure that all families affected by the recent shear line will have sufficient aid,” Asst. DSWD exec briefs media on newly-launched HELPS portal

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Director Megan Therese Manahan of the Standards Bureau (SB) briefs members of the media on the agency\’s newly-launched digital platform, the Harmonized Electronic License and Permit System (HELPS), during the Saturday News Forum on March 8 at the Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is now enforcing strict monitoring on social welfare and development agencies (SWDAs) that were granted public solicitation permits, an agency executive said during the Saturday News Forum at Dapo Restaurant in Quezon City on March 8. Real Life Stories – DSWD’s Kalahi CIDSS turns La Union town’s decades-old dream for paved road into reality

Townsfolk from Barangay Alibangsay in Bagulin town in La Union had always wished for a cemented road to help them in their daily lives. A mountainous and hilly community, villagers were forced to navigate an uneven path in their barangay, which becomes muddy during rainy days. This community challenge ended when the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) was introduced to the locality.
