In preparation for the third year implementation of the Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program this 2025, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s  (DSWD) Field Offices (FOs) nationwide are now conducting their respective consultations and orientation sessions for partners and potential beneficiaries. “We are meeting with the local government units (LGUs) and state universities and colleges (SUCs) to orient them on the program design and execution because they are our partners in implementing the Tara, Basa! DSWD’s 4Ps now has 600K self-sufficient households; 1.49M elementary, high school grads

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) has successfully helped over 600,000 household-beneficiaries to achieve self-sufficiency in 5 years since the 4Ps was institutionalized in 2019. “As of December 2024, we are proud to report that a total of 677,658 household-grantees of the 4Ps program were able to become self-sufficient,” Asst. DSWD’s new mobile kitchens to offer hot, home-cooked meals during disasters

Apart from the family food packs (FFPs) that are distributed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to meet the food needs of families and individuals affected by disasters, the agency will now be able to provide hot and home-cooked meals with its newly-acquired mobile kitchens. DSWD banks on psychosocial interventions to address rising number of teenage pregnancies

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is strengthening its psychosocial interventions for teenage mothers and their families under “ProtecTEEN,” the agency’s strategy that strives to address the rising number of adolescent pregnancies in the country. DSWD launches mobile kitchens, water tank trucks for disaster response

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian will lead guests, including Senator Joel Villanueva and United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Country Director Regis Chapman, at the ceremonial launch of disaster response vehicles on February 7 (Friday) at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City.
