Person with disability groups turn entrepreneurs with DSWD’s livelihood support

Groups of persons with disabilities can now start their chosen livelihood projects as the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) provided them with electronic vehicles that they can operate to roll out their transport businesses. Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez of the DSWD’s Operations Group, representing Secretary Rex Gatchalian, led the turnover ceremony of the electric vehicles to the 20 SLP Associations of 2,300 persons with disabilities on Friday (February 21) at the agency’s Central Office in Quezon City. DSWD showcases functionality of electronic vehicles for persons with disabilities

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) showcases the functionality of the electric vehicles (EV) that were handed over in a symbolic ceremony to persons with disability- beneficiaries of the agency’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) on Friday (February 21) at the DSWD Central Office. The EV is PWD-friendly with accessibility features to help those with mobility issues, such as a ramp for wheelchairs. DSWD chief updates PBBM on agency’s aid to Mt. Kanlaon evacuees

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian reports to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr the status of the agency’s assistance to the families affected by the restiveness of Mt. Kanlaon during a situation briefing at the La Carlota South Elementary School II in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, on Friday (February 21). Secretary Gatchalian said the agency will continue providing the evacuees with financial aid apart from the relief items.

Turnover of 20 electric vehicles by DSWD’s SLP, to benefit 2,300 persons with disabilities

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) will lead on Friday (February 21) a ceremonial turnover of 20 electric vehicles which will benefit some 2,300 persons with disabilities.
