DSWD assists locals affected by TS Kristine in Bicol

DSWD FO-5 extends care and support to evacuees in Matnog amid TS Kristine’s onslaught

he Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 5 – Bicol Region provides hot dinner meals to evacuees affected by Tropical Storm (TS) #KristinePH in Matnog town in Sorsogon province on the evening of Tuesday (October 22). Along with the meals, the DSWD FO-5 also distributed 50 family food packs (FFPs) to families impacted by TS Kristine, with support from the Matnog Local Government Unit (LGU). The DSWD Bicol regional office continues to closely monitor all affected areas in the region to ensure swift and efficient delivery of aid to those in need.

DSWD provides over Php2.3 million aid to Kristine-hit families

DSWD swiftly delivers relief goods to 446 families displaced by #KristinePH in Sorsogon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 5 – Bicol Region swiftly distributes family food packs (FFPs) to 446 displaced families in various evacuation centers across 13 barangays affected by #KristinePH in the Municipality of Irosin in Sorsogon province on Wednesday (October 23). DSWD FO-5 continues its relief operations throughout the region, providing support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in various evacuation centers, and actively collaborating with local government units (LGUs) to assess the situation and meet the needs of those impacted by the raging tropical storm.

In response to communities hardly-hit by the Tropical Storm (TS) Kristine, Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office (FO) 5 – Bicol Region continues to extend relief assistance on Wednesday (October 23) to severely-affected families in the province of Albay.
