DSWD reminds 4Ps members to prioritize children’s education as classes start

DSWD chief backs community procurement for feeding program to support local producers

In line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to ensure that local producers benefit from government feeding programs, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian encouraged local government units (LGUs) to utilize the Negotiated Procurement – Community Participation (NP-CP) method in implementing the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP). DSWD hikes feeding program budget to meet 1.5M kids’ nutritional needs

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has increased the budget for the 2025 implementation of its Supplemental Feeding Program (SFP) to boost the nutritional needs of children enrolled in public child development centers (CDCs) and supervised neighborhood plays (SNPs). Over 2.9M indigent seniors receive 1st, 2nd quarter pension from DSWD

A total of 2,955,456 indigent senior citizens across the country have received their social pension from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SPISC) Program for the first and second quarters of 2025, an agency official said on Monday (June16).
