DSWD’s attached agency launches 4th National Plan of Action for Children

The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC), an agency under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), launched the 4th National Plan of Action for Children (NPAC) on Thursday, (November 14) in Valenzuela City. DSWD extends over Php27M in aid to families affected by Typhoons Nika, Ofel

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided over Php27 million worth of humanitarian aid to families affected by Tropical Cyclones Nika and Ofel. The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is actively addressing the needs of individuals affected by disasters, particularly the youth and children, due to the recent consecutive storms that hit the country. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Wednesday (November 13) ordered the prepositioning of more family food packs (FFPs) in Northern Luzon as Tropical Storm Ofel continues to threaten the area.
