DSWD chief visits ‘Kristine’ evacuees in Camarines Sur

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian visited evacuation centers in Camarines Sur on Friday (October 25) to assess the condition of internally displaced persons (IDPs) affected by Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Kristine. DSWD Field Office Cagayan extends relief aid to TS Kristine evacuees

In its continuing relief operations for Tropical Storm Kristine, personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO) 2-Cagayan Valley distribute on Thursday (October 24) more than 200 family food packs (FFPs) and 186 non-food items to evacuees in the different parts of the region. The relief supplies, worth over Php500,000, were given to evacuees in the provinces of Isabela, Cagayan, and Quirino. This latest relief distribution is part of the FO’s efforts to ensure that affected families are able to meet their food needs and other basic needs while seeking temporary shelter in evacuation centers.

DSWD CAR assists pre-emptive evac in Apayao province

Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO) – Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) on Wednesday night (October 23) assisted 50 families from Consuelo, Santa Marcela in Apayao province who were pre-emptively evacuated as the effects of Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Kristine started to be felt in the region. DSWD FO-5 extends care and support to evacuees in Matnog amid TS Kristine’s onslaught

he Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office 5 – Bicol Region provides hot dinner meals to evacuees affected by Tropical Storm (TS) #KristinePH in Matnog town in Sorsogon province on the evening of Tuesday (October 22). Along with the meals, the DSWD FO-5 also distributed 50 family food packs (FFPs) to families impacted by TS Kristine, with support from the Matnog Local Government Unit (LGU). The DSWD Bicol regional office continues to closely monitor all affected areas in the region to ensure swift and efficient delivery of aid to those in need.
