DSWD chief joins PBBM in aid distribution to Marce-hit residents in Cagayan

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian was among the Cabinet officials who joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Sunday (November 10) in the distribution of government assistance to Marce-hit families held at Buguey town in Cagayan province. During the aid-giving, President Marcos led the turn over of Php10 million to each of the eight municipalities in Cagayan that bore the brunt of Marce, including the towns of Santa Ana and Sanchez Mira where the typhoon made its consecutive landfalls as it passed the province. Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian joined President Ferdinand R. DSWD continues disaster ops for Marce; rolls out response for Nika

DSWD requests DBM for replenishment of Php875-M in Quick Response Funds

To ensure unhampered disaster response amid the consecutive storms that hit the country in the recent days,  the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has already requested the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for the immediate replenishment of the agency’s Quick Response Funds (QRF). The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) endorses a Child Protection Systems Strengthening (CPSS) framework in the First Global Ministerial Conference (GMC) on Ending Violence Against Children (VAC) on November 7 to 8 in Bogota, Colombia. DSWD taps Pampanga hub to produce 10K food packs daily for ‘Marce’ ops
