DSWD gives cash aid to 53K low-income mall employees in NCR

Over 53,000 low-income and minimum-wage earners employed at the four major malls in Metro Manila received cash assistance through the Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office-National Capital Region (NCR). DSWD chief joins PBBM in aid distribution to Marce-hit residents in Cagayan

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian was among the Cabinet officials who joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Sunday (November 10) in the distribution of government assistance to Marce-hit families held at Buguey town in Cagayan province. DSWD requests DBM for replenishment of Php875-M in Quick Response Funds

To ensure unhampered disaster response amid the consecutive storms that hit the country in the recent days,  the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has already requested the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for the immediate replenishment of the agency’s Quick Response Funds (QRF). In the rural community of Barangay Tubectubang in Moncada, Tarlac, the members of the Camoncadaan Farmers Association Inc. were able to utilize the opportunities provided by the Project LAWA (Local Adaptation to Water Access) and BINHI (Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to create sustainable agricultural opportunities and enhance their food security.
