DSWD eyes stronger partnership with LGUs to amplify disaster response

To continuously improve disaster response and the prepositioning of relief supplies, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Field Offices (FOs) are eyeing to enter into more formalized agreements and partnerships with local government units (LGUs). DSWD ready to extend more aid to Bataan communities affected by oil spill

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO)-3 (Central Luzon) continues to closely monitor the situation of communities affected by the oil spill in the coasts of Bataan province and ready to provide additional assistance, if necessary. DSWD ready to assist localities hit by Habagat in NCR

DSWD launches Kabuhayan Convention for agency’s livelihood program beneficiaries

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) launches on Thursday (August 29)  the “Alunsina”, a kabuhayan convention and bazaar held at the Risen Garden in Quezon City Hall. DSWD, partners in joint field visit to 4Ps grantees in Tawi-Tawi

In its continuing effort to monitor the status of beneficiaries under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its National Program Management Office (NPMO), is holding a field visit to beneficiaries in selected municipalities in Tawi-Tawi province from August 27 to 30. Indigent seniors can now receive their social pension on a monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly basis

Indigent senior citizens can now receive their  social pension on a monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly basis, instead of the previous semestral or every six months payout, an official of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said on Thursday (August 29). “Secretary Rex Gatchalian instructed all the DSWD Field Offices (FOs), through the regional directors, to follow the new schedule of social pension payouts. Personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) who are affected by various forms of disasters are also entitled to receive assistance from the agency.
