DSWD extends aid to more Pinoy repatriates from Lebanon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has assisted another batch of Filipino repatriates from Lebanon who arrived in the Philippines on Saturday (October 26) amid the escalating conflict between the Lebanese militant group and Israel. A total of 244 overseas Filipinos (OFs) and their 36 dependents were welcomed by personnel of DSWD’s Field Office (FO)-National Capital Region (NCR) under its “airport salubong” project, together with other national government agencies, upon their arrival via chartered flight from Beirut, Lebanon to Manila. 171 branches of Mercury Drugs Store to start accepting DSWD-issued guarantee letters starting November 4

More than 1,000 disaster-hit Bacoor City residents get cash aid from DSWD

More than 1,000 residents of Bacoor City in Cavite, who were affected by Super Typhoon Carina in July and a fire incident in Barangay Zapote 3 in September, line up on Friday (October 25) to receive their emergency cash transfer (ECT) assistance from personnel of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office (FO)-CALABARZON. DSWD, LGU partners sign agreement to provide comprehensive support for children with disabilities, families

The Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Social Technology Bureau (STB) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with three local government units (LGUs) last October 24 for the pilot implementation of a disability-inclusive social protection project for children with disabilities and their families.
