DSWD reiterates call for 4Ps pregnant members, with 0 to 2-year-old kids to update profiles for ‘First 1K Days’ inclusion

DSWD continues to augment resources of LGUs hit by STS Kristine; releases over 600K food packs

DSWD has sufficient stockpile of FFPs in Batanes amid Tropical Storm Leon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has sufficient stockpile of family food packs (FFPs) in the island province of Batanes which is directly in the path of Tropical Storm Leon. As early as Wednesday (October 23), the DSWD’s National Resource Operations Center (NROC) was able to load 5,500 boxes of FFPs to a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ship at Pier 13 in the Port of Manila bound for Batanes. Social workers from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Field Office (FO)-CALABARZON  have started providing psychosocial services and financial aid to the bereaved families of those who perished during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm (STS) Kristine in the region.
