Boss Toyo meets Sec Rex

Social Media influencer Jayson Luzadas, better known as Boss Toyo, meets with DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez to discuss ways on how the “Pinoy Pawnstars” host can help in the agency’s social protection programs. DSWD holds cash-for-work payout for 500 Tara, Basa! tutors, YDWs in Valenzuela City

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continues to conduct cash-for-work (CFW) payout for the beneficiaries of Tara, Basa! Tutoring program, the agency’s reformatted educational assistance. Personnel of the agency were in Valenzuela on Monday (September 23) to distribute cash aid to 500 college students from the Valenzuela City Polytechnic College and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, who served as tutors and youth development workers (YDWs). The DSWD-trained tutors and YDWs conducted reading sessions for struggling or non-reader elementary students and Nanay-Tatay teacher sessions for parents and guardians of the student-beneficiaries, respectively. #

More than 3,000 college students from the National Capital Region (NCR) have received financial aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program as of Monday (September 23). “These college students rendered work as tutors and youth development workers (YDWs).
