DSWD, DHSUD eye housing aid for exiting 4Ps households

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling explore possible ways to provide decent and affordable housing to families set to exit from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps). DSWD chief, persons with disabilities ride new e-bus units

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Tuesday (June 17) joins persons with disabilities, who are beneficiaries of the agency’s Persons with Disabilities Electric Transportation Services (PWD-ETS) project, for a test run of their electric bus along Batasan Hills in Quezon City. Student-volunteers unload ready-to-eat food packs in DSWD warehouse

Student-volunteers on Monday (June 16) help in the unloading of 2,000 Ready-to-Eat Food (RTEF) packs at the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) National Resource Operations Center (NROC) in Pasay City. The volunteers included students from Far Eastern University (FEU), University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, and Saint Francis of Assisi College (SFAC). They were joined by personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippines Air Force (PAF). The RTEF packs, which contain pre-cooked meals, will complement the agency’s relief items for disaster-stricken families and individuals, as well as passengers stranded in ports.(LSJ).
