DSWD chief checks readiness of Sorsogon’s warehouse amid Bulusan unrest

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian visits the warehouse of the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Sorsogon on Tuesday (April 29) to inspect the availability of food and non-food items for families affected by the restiveness of Mt. Bulusan. Joining the DSWD chief in the inspection were Undersecretary Diana Rose Cajipe of the agency’s Disaster Response Management Group (DRMG), Governor Edwin “Boboy” Hamor of Sorsogon, Regional Director Norman Laurio of DSWD Field Office 5-Bicol Region, and other local chief executives. # (AKDL)

DSWD chief visits Mt. Bulusan evacuees; distributes relief packs

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian engages with evacuees staying at the Juban evacuation center as part of his visit to the town on Tuesday (April 29), a day after the eruption of Mt. Bulusan. The DSWD chief also handed over family food packs (FFPs) to the evacuees and greeted the children playing at the child-friendly space inside the evacuation center. # (YADP)

DSWD chief joins situation briefing on Mt. Bulusan eruption

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian joins Sorsogon Governor Edwin Hamor early Tuesday (April 29) morning for a situation briefing on the effects of the eruption of Mt. DSWD exec, Tanay mayor sign MOA for Project ‘Apo Ko’

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Edu Punay of the Innovations and Program Development Group (IPDG) signs on Monday (April 28) a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Mayor Rafael Tanjuatco of Tanay, Rizal for the implementation of the agency’s Apo Ko: Kwento Ni Lolo’t Lola, Gabay ng Kabataan project.
