DSWD brings gov’t services closer to agency personnel through one-stop-shop ‘Serbilis’ series

April 20, 2025

As part of its continuing commitment to support the welfare of its employees and institutional contractors, the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Human Resource Management and Development Service (HRMDS) will open another one-stop-shop ‘Serbilis’ series.

“This one-stop-shop Serbilis aims to bring services from key national government agencies (NGAs) and government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs) directly to the doorsteps of the DSWD Central Office,” Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao, who is also the agency spokesperson, said on Sunday (April 20).

Asst. Secretary Dumlao said the one-stop-shop will be held from April 22 to 24 at the Central Office’s New Lobby in Magiliw Building, Batasan, Quezon City.

The DSWD spokesperson said this initiative is in partnership with agencies such as the Pag-IBIG Fund, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Social Security System (SSS), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost), and the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO).

The Serbilis series is open to DSWD employees, institutional contractors such as security guards and maintenance workers, and their family members.

The 3-day activity will enable participants to access essential government services, process applications and registrations, request clearances and documents, access free legal assistance , and avail themselves of membership and loan services without having to leave their workplaces.

“By eliminating logistical barriers, the DSWD aims to ease the burden of time and cost usually associated with going to government offices and availing of these services. Our personnel no longer have to take a leave,” Asst. Secretary Dumlao pointed out.

The Serbilis series is the DSWD’s ongoing efforts to foster a more responsive, employee-centric workplace by strengthening inter-agency partnerships and maximizing service delivery. (YADP)
